Former Judas Priest star Tim ‘Ripper’ Owens was forced to cancel his appearance at a Scottish metal festival on Friday (24Jun16) after he was refused entry to Britain.
The rocker flew into Glasgow Airport on Thursday (23Jun16), ahead of his scheduled performance at the Wildfire event, and was told he had to turn back.
In a statement obtained by Blabbermouth.net, the festival organisers wrote: “It is with massive regret that we have to announce that Tim Owens will no longer be able to play tomorrow night’s show.
“We arrived at Glasgow Airport this morning as Tim took time out from his tour of the Ukraine to play for us at Wildfire. Unfortunately, U.K. border patrol will not let him into the U.K. at this point in time… Both Tim and Wildfire would like to offer our sincere apologies at this time.”
It’s still not clear why American Owens was refused entry, but it is widely believed the customs mix-up was connected to his work visa.

Miss Missouri Erin O’Flaherty is thrilled to be the first openly gay beauty to take part in a Miss America pageant.
The stunning 23-year-old was recently awarded the crown and informed she would be representing her adopted state and vying for 2016 Miss America Betty Cantrell’s title later this year (16).
The first ‘out’ lesbian contestant tells Entertainment Tonight she can’t wait to make history at the pageant, stating, “I’m ready to go to Miss America, and I’m really happy to have made history. I’m definitely the first openly gay Miss Missouri, and the first woman to go into the Miss America competition openly gay.”
O’Flaherty came out to her family and friends when she was 18 and now she’s hoping her pageant appearance will serve as a boost to the LGBT community still mourning the loss of lives at the gay nightclub massacre in Orlando, Florida earlier this month (Jun16).
“In the past few days, I’ve received several messages from other contestants that are out in other states,” she explained. “So, that’s awesome to hear that maybe I won’t need to be the only one going to Miss America this year openly lesbian. That is really exciting.”
The University of Central Florida graduate will be using her fame as a possible Miss America to raise awareness about suicide prevention after losing a pal in her youth.
“When I was 13, I lost one of my best friends to suicide,” Erin told ET. “It was through the grieving process that I realised that there were warning signs and maybe this could have been prevented. So, I’m now an advocate for the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention and also The Trevor Project, which is the nation’s leading crisis intervention and suicide prevention resource for LGBT youth.”

Kanye West has released one of the most controversial videos ever.
The promo for the rapper’s Famous song, in which he boasts about sleeping with Taylor Swift, actually features what appears to be a naked Taylor sleeping next to him in a large bed surrounded by other dozing ‘stars’ totally naked, including Donald Trump, Bill Cosby, Kanye, his wife Kim Kardashian and even her transgender stepfather, Caitlyn Jenner.
As the song plays a camera slowly glides over the bed full of snoozing star look-alikes and computer-generated doppelgangers, also including the rapper’s ex-girlfriend Amber Rose, Rihanna, and his wife’s one-time sex tape partner Ray J.
Kanye debuted the music video, an homage to artist Vincent Desiderio’s Sleep painting, at a star-studded event at the Forum in Los Angeles on Friday (24Jun16), before offering it up as a download on Jay Z’s streaming service Tidal.
According to Vanity Fair, the controversial promo was filmed over a period of three months, and insiders claim not all the celebrities featured are fake – some really did strip off to pose alongside Kim and Kanye.
At the end of the shocking video Kanye thanks all of the celebrities involved for “being famous”.
The song itself hit a controversial note when the rapper debuted it at a New York Fashion Week showcase earlier this year (16).
He claimed Swift had approved the track and the lyric which suggested she and Kanye had been bedfellows, and he had made her famous, but her representative insists that was never the case and Taylor would never have approved the project.
Kanye’s wife recently insisted Taylor had OK’d the track and liked the idea of shocking the world with the racy lyrics.
“It was funny because (on the call with Kanye, Taylor) said, ‘When I get on the Grammy red carpet, all the media is going to think that I’m so against this, and I’ll just laugh and say, ‘The joke’s on you, guys. I was in on it the whole time’,” Kim recalled in a new GQ interview.
A spokesperson for Taylor was quick to respond to Kim’s accusations, releasing a statement insisting that the reality TV star’s comments were “incorrect”.
“Taylor does not hold anything against Kim Kardashian as she recognizes the pressure Kim must be under and that she is only repeating what she has been told by Kanye West,” the statement reads. “However, that does not change the fact that much of what Kim is saying is incorrect. Kanye West and Taylor only spoke once on the phone while she was on vacation with her family in January of 2016 and they have never spoken since.
“Taylor has never denied that conversation took place. It was on that phone call that Kanye West also asked her to release the song on her Twitter account, which she declined to do… A song cannot be approved if it was never heard. Kanye West never played the song for Taylor Swift. Taylor heard it for the first time when everyone else did and was humiliated… Taylor cannot understand why Kanye West, and now Kim Kardashian, will not just leave her alone.”

Reality TV star Audrina Patridge has given birth to her first child.
The former The Hills regular and her BMX rider fiance Corey Bohan welcomed a daughter named Kirra Max Bohan on Friday morning (24Jun16), and the newborn weighed eight pounds four ounces.
“She’s perfectly healthy and Mom is doing great,” Audrina’s representative told People.com.
The 31-year-old announced she was expecting the child in December (15) and she told readers of her blog in March (16) that it would be a girl.
Audrina had been posting regular updates about her pregnancy on social media and on her blog, and a week before the birth she shared a mirror selfie of the bump and wrote, “It’s going to be weird not having a belly soon or feeling little kicks punches and hiccups allll (sic) the time, I’m so used to it now and am loving it. I’ve had a pretty good pregnancy so I’m very thankful for that and also for good genes.”
The couple celebrated Father’s Day (18Jun16) by getting their hospital bag ready in preparation for the birth, and on 21 June (16), Audrina tweeted, “Getting nervous… Just waiting on the arrival of our little girl!! Any day now.”
Corey proposed to Audrina in November (15), just a month before they announced the pregnancy, and they decided to put wedding plans on hold.
“I didn’t want to rush getting married because stress is bad for the baby,” she previously told Fit Pregnancy and Baby magazine. “Corey said, ‘Stop caring what people think. Their opinions don’t matter… Anyway, we’ve already been together for so long, it’s like we’re already married. It’s just a title at this point – and a ring.”
The couple have been dating since 2008.

Jermaine Jackson’s estranged third wife has issued a statement insisting they would be better off going their separate ways.
Halima Rashid filed for divorce on Tuesday (21Jun16), citing irreconcilable differences, and the papers revealed the couple had separated on 28 November (15), the same day she was arrested and booked following an altercation at the couple’s California home.
Halima, Jermaine’s wife of 12 years, escaped charges after officials ruled there was no evidence to prove she attacked him and they were dropped in January (16), when the couple reportedly reconciled.
Halima has now issued a statement about the split, expressing her sadness at the divorce but insisting it is the best course for them both.
“With a great amount of sorrow and regret, I today announce that I am filing for divorce from Jermaine Jackson,” she tells People.com. “We have enjoyed many good times during our marriage of nearly 12 years, but we have reached a point where our lives would be better and more productive if we are not married. I respect and care for Jermaine and his legendary family, and feel blessed to have been a part of the Jacksons.”
She also asked for the “difficulty” of the decision to be respected and for privacy as “we move on with our lives.”
Jermaine, the older brother of Michael Jackson, met Halima in 2004 in a Starbucks and they married later that year in Los Angeles. They had no children, but she is seeking spousal support.
He was previously married to Alejandra Genevieve Oaziaza from 1995 to 2003 and Hazel Gordy between 1973 to 1988. He has five children from these relationships.
This week (beg20Jun16) Jermaine spoke out on Twitter to defend his late brother after an old police report emerged suggesting Michael, who died in 2009, had a stash of pornographic material at his Neverland Ranch home in Santa Barbara, California.
The documents date back to 13-year-old Gavin Arvizo’s child molestation accusations, which lead to a trial in 2005. Michael was found not guilty and acquitted of 14 charges, which included four counts of molesting a minor.
“Let Michael rest in peace. Leave. Him. Alone,” he wrote, and their sibling La Toya followed suit on Saturday (25Jun16), writing, “Please! May We All Let Him #RIP!”
