Actress Kristen Stewart has reportedly called off her romance with French girlfriend Stephanie Sokolinski.
The Twilight star, 26, went public with the new relationship in March (16), after she was photographed openly kissing singer/actress Stephanie, also known as Soko, on the streets of Paris.
Kristen, who is notoriously private about her personal life, did not comment on the new woman in her life, but Soko seemed to confirm they were a couple in a recent interview with W Magazine.
“I’m very, very, very in love and very happy in a relationship…,” the 30-year-old declared, without mentioning Kristen by name.
However, it appears the romance is no more, with a source telling UsMagazine.com the pair has since parted ways.
Speculation of a split first surfaced earlier this week (02May16), when Kristen attended the Met Gala in New York City solo. She was later spotted hanging out with model pal Stella Maxwell, who was briefly linked to Miley Cyrus, at the official afterparty.
Ironically, Soko and her now-ex have previously dated the same man – the French star once enjoyed a blind date with Robert Pattinson, who romanced Kristen on and off while they were filming the Twilight movies. They split in 2013, months after the Hollywood actress’ infamous fling with her Snow White and the Huntsman director Rupert Sanders in the summer of 2012 became public.
Robert is now engaged to British singer FKA Twigs, who he accompanied to the Met Gala on Monday.
Following the Twilight stars’ break-up, Kristen was said to have embarked on a relationship with her personal assistant, Alicia Cargile, and she alluded to her bisexuality in a candid interview with Nylon magazine last year (15), when she was questioned about her personal life.
“Google me, I’m not hiding,” the actress retorted.
“I live in the f**king ambiguity of this life and I love it,” she explained. “I don’t feel like it would be true for me to be like, ‘I’m coming out!’ I think in three or four years, there are going to be a whole lot more people who don’t think it’s necessary to figure out if you’re gay or straight. It’s like, just do your thing.”
“I love clothes, but I wish I was a more imaginative dresser; I’m better at interiors. I admire people who are able to do it easily, it takes me a lot of thought.” Julianne Moore admits style doesn’t come easy to her.
Colombia’s biggest stars Shakira and Carlos Vives have teamed up to record their first song together.
The two singers co-wrote La Bicicleta (The Bicycle) for Vives’ upcoming album and it will be released on 20 June (16), according to Billboard.
“I’ve always dreamt of writing, producing and recording a song with Shakira so that together we can show our Colombia to the world,” Vives says. “She has taken our country’s music to unimaginable heights, and finally being able to collaborate with her is a realisation of this dream.”
The Colombian stars have been friends for years and they performed together at a 2008 Concert for Peace in their homeland, but until now they have never spent time in the studio together.
Mexican rockers Mana took the Cinco de Mayo festivities to the White House in Washington, D.C. on Thursday (05May16), when they performed for U.S. President Barack Obama.
The group performed classic songs like Labios compartidos, Vivir sin aire, and Corazon espinado, and the stars were clearly thrilled to be invited to play for the world leader.
“It’s an honour and a dream come true to be playing here today,” frontman Fher Olvera said. “If they told me I’d be doing this years ago, I wouldn’t have believed it.
“Thank you very much for all the love here, in Mexico and Latin America. We love all of you. God bless and continue celebrating Cinco de Mayo. I need a tequila – hopefully they don’t kick me out of the White House.”
Justin Bieber warmed up for his New York concerts this week (begs02May16) by testing his basketball skills at the Brooklyn Nets practice facility.
The What Do You Mean? singer took his Purpose World Tour to Brooklyn’s Barclays Center, the home of the Brooklyn Nets, on Wednesday (04May16) for the first of two concerts at the venue, but before he hit the stage, he stopped by the team’s practice court to show off his moves.
The singer, who is known for his love of basketball, shared a photo of himself playing against his manager Scooter Braun on Wednesday, and captioned the image, “I had a blast crossing you up”.
On Thursday (05May16), Justin posted video footage of his court session with Scooter, during which he successfully hit a string of three-pointers one after another.
“Let’s be honest scooter I was rain dancing all over you nice try tho (sic),” the 22-year-old boasted in the accompanying message.
He also used the opportunity to blast his critics, adding, “and a big f**k you to all the basketball playing trolls online saying i have bad form first of all I’m not a basketball player I’m a singer lol (laugh out loud) second of All I’ll work on my form (sic)”.
Justin has made his sporting sessions a routine part of his warm up on the road, after also making use of the facilities used by the Atlanta Hawks and the Houston Rockets during his tour stops in the cities last month (Apr16).
The pop superstar will return to the Barclays Centre on Thursday night, before continuing his tour in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on Saturday (07May16) and Sunday (08May16).
Actress and dancer Julianne Hough would happily rock a V for Vendetta look if her hair fell out after a perm.
The 27-year-old star has switched up her tresses countless times over the years, most recently rocking a beachy-waved perm. Many women admire Julianne’s confidence to change her style whenever she fancies it, but those close to her made sure she was warned about the dangers of the chemical treatment.
“I think that the only way to come up with new trends or new inspirations for new things is by taking risks,” she told Allure. “If it’s something that scares me, then it’s something I have to do.
“When I wanted to get this perm, everyone was like, ‘Your hair is literally going to fall out if you do this because it’s blonde.’ But then they came out with the Olaplex thing, and I was like, you know what, if it falls out, I’m going to do a whole V for Vendetta thing (referring to actress Natalie Portman’s buzz cut), and it will grow back – who cares! I think taking risks with your hair says a lot about your personality. Stepping out of your comfort zone is really when you’re going to grow.”
Olaplex is a product that has proved popular with celebrities, as it helps permanently rebuild damaged hair without using harsh ingredients like sulphates, silicone or phthalates. Luckily for Julianne, her locks are still strong after the powerful perm, though they’ve lost their oomph a little.
“My hair is actually not doing so bad after I got the perm,” she added. “I feel like I got so much body out of it when I first did it. I think it’s been over a month now since I got it, and I’ve been in the pool a few times, so it’s kind of starting to wear off a little bit. But it still has that body right in the root, so it just feels thicker and fuller and fun. I really like it.”

Actor Peter Facinelli is slamming reports he is trying to reunite with ex-wife Jennie Garth.
The Twilight star and Jennie, who share three daughters, ended their 11-year marriage in 2012 and divorced in 2013, and the former Beverly Hills, 90210 star is now married to actor David Abrams.
Editors at the National Enquirer recently reported that Peter is “begging” Jennie to take him back, but he insists that is not true.
“Anyone who knows me knows that this is ridiculous and false,” he tells GossipCop.com. “I am very happy for my ex-wife and Dave, who is a good man and very kind to my children. Jennie is the mother of my children and the thought of disrupting her marriage or life in any way is ludicrous.”
“The Enquirer should be ashamed of themselves for fabricating such an irresponsible article that is hurtful to my children and all parties existing,” he continues. “We have all moved on. I hope that the press can do so as well.”
The 42-year-old is single again after splitting from his fiancee, actress Jaimie Alexander, earlier this year (16). The couple hooked up in 2012 and became engaged in March, 2015.
Embattled rapper Mos Def has scrapped two concerts in Europe as he continues to battle legal troubles in South Africa.
The native New Yorker, also known as Yasiin Bey, was arrested in January (16) after allegedly attempting to depart from Cape Town International Airport using a so-called World Passport.
Officials insisted the travel documents were not legal and took Mos Def into custody on charges of using a false passport and an unrecognised travel document. He was released on $300 (£210) bail and ordered to check in with police every two days.
Despite his ongoing court case, for which he will next face a judge on 12 May (16), the hip-hop star was booked to perform in Sweden on Thursday night (05May16) and Denmark on Friday (06May16). He has since pulled out of the live dates, blaming the “matters at hand here for me in South Africa”. He is hoping to reschedule the gigs for this autumn (16).
In a recorded message, which he has posted on Soundcloud.com, Mos Def thanks fans for their continued support.
“I’m safe, I’m in good spirits,” he assures devotees. “I want to thank the listeners and the audience for their support throughout the years, for showing interest and continuing over the years to spend their time (sic). It’s greatly, greatly appreciated. I don’t take it for granted.”
Mos Def, 42, previously reached out to fans to protest his innocence in another voice recording posted on pal Kanye West’s Twitter and YouTube pages in January (16).
In the clip, titled, “A message from Yasiin Bey”, Mos Def declared, “I’m being prevented from leaving unjustly, unlawfully, and without any logical reason. I have reason to believe or suspect that there are political motivations behind the way that I’m being treated because… I haven’t broken any law and I’m being treated like a criminal.”
He went on to insist he plans to step away from music after releasing one more album this year (16), adding, “I’m retiring from the music recording industry as it is currently assembled today, and also from Hollywood, effective immediately. I’m releasing my final album this year, and that’s that.”
Superstar Taylor Swift has topped Billboard’s list of the highest paid musicians of 2015.
The Shake It Off star has earned $73.5 million (GBP50.8 million) from album sales, streaming and publishing revenue and her 1989 world tour – almost double the fortune amassed by country star Kenny Chesney, who is a distant second with $39.8 million (GBP27.5 million), while The Rolling Stones come in a close third with $39.6 million (GBP27.3 million).
Billy Joel and One Direction close out the top five, and the Grateful Dead, Luke Bryan, U2, Adele, and Maroon 5 make the top 10.
It has been a good year for Taylor, who won three Grammy Awards in February (16) for Best Music Video, Best Pop Vocal Album and Album of the Year. She was also was named one of the 2015 Time 100 by editors at Time magazine and will be honoured with the first Taylor Swift Award at the BMI Pop Awards later this month (May16).
And now she’ll be hoping to use some of her fortune to pay for a grand vacation after telling Vogue magazine she has no immediate plans to start recording a new album.
She said, “This is the first time in 10 years that I haven’t known (what I’m going next). I just decided that after the past year, with all of the unbelievable things that happened, I decided I was going to live my life a little bit without the pressure on myself to create something.
“I’m always going to be writing songs,” she explained. “The thing is, with me, I could very well come up with three things in the next two weeks and then jump back into the studio, and all of a sudden the next record is started. That’s an option, too.”
